Biodegradable and Compostable Products
BAGEASE's biodegradable and compostable products are made out of PLA,which takes annually renewable resources – corn, cassava and other plants as raw material. After fermentation by microorganisms, lactic acid will be extracted, then PLA willbe produced through a process of refining, dehydration polymerization, high temperature pyrolysis and final polymerization.

PLA has excellent biodegradable property. After disposal, within one year, it can be degraded into carbon dioxide and water by microorganisms in the soil, and do no harm to our environment.
Our products come from renewable sources, are fully compostable with a shelf-life of up to 12 months from production. It is superior clarity to show the quality of your products
The PLA can be 100% biodegraded within 180day under composting condition with final outcome of CO2 and H2O.
Genarally, it takes about 2-5years for PLA to degrade in landfill.

The definition of biodegradable is that a material is capable of undergoing biological anaerobic,
or aerobic degradation leading to the production of CO2, H2O, methane, biomass, and mineral salts, depending on the environmental conditions of the process.
Compostable
Composting is the process of breaking down organic waste by microbial digestion to create compost.
Compost has many beneficial uses including improving and fertilizing soil. To go through a composting process, organic waste requires the right level of heat, water, and oxygen.
Oxo-degradable
Oxo-Degradable are mainly based on polyethylene and contain additives that cause the plastic to degrade.
The additives are typically organic compounds of transition metals (such as cobalt, iron, nickel, and manganese).
Oxidative degradation is a complex series of chemical reactions in which the long chains of polyethylene molecules are broken down into shorter lengths by the action of oxygen,
ultra-violet light and/or heat. This degradation process causes deterioration in the strength of the plastic, which becomes brittle and easily fragments into small pieces.
